Name Hasebroock, Margaret McDonald
Notes Margaret E. Hasebroock (Mrs. William H. Hasebroock) was born in Nebraska. She attended the School of Fine Arts at Grinnell College and received an A.B. from Midland College. She was a teacher and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of parliamentary procedure and music with others.

Hasebroock was actively involved in the Nebraska Federation of Women's Clubs and served a term as its president. She served variously as chairman of GFWC's Fine Arts, Music, and Public Affairs departments. In 1958 she became GFWC's recording secretary, progressing in rank to her election as GFWC President in 1964.

During her term, Margaret Hasebroock was interested in preserving the nation's heritage of freedom; uplifting the legal, social, economic and political status of women; and helping create self-sufficiency in countries around the world. She was also an advocate for the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation.

In 1977 Hasebroock was named Nebraska Mother of the Year. After her time at GFWC, she served for several years as vice-president and dean of education at the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.

Hasebroock died on January 7, 1990.
