Iras held numerous club offices on the local, state, and national level and was very involved in arts and cultural programming, including Arts in Action, Wyoming Public Television, and Wyoming State Training School. She describes her travels across the country as a GFWC chairman and Western Region state president.

Winger, and the copies of the Convention Bulletin that were produced each day of the convention. The records also include an invitation, an itinerary, and a report by Mildred Carlson Ahlgren from the GFWC Magic of the Orient Adventure that took place 17 June - 8 July 1984. The women visited the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan.
